How Can Central Disc Protrusion And Cervical Osteophyte Be Treated?
I have central disc protusion at C3-C-4, angular buldge at C4-C5, and at C5-C6 there is broad based disc ridge comlex eccentric toward the right with effacement of central CSF. In additional progressive cervical osteophyte formation and bilateral dilated root sleeve cysts of C7 nerve root. Why does the orthopedist want me to see a neurologist?
welcome to Health care magic. 1.The disc which is suppose to be in the centre between the vertebral bodies have moved from its place and causing compression on the nerve and chord. 2.Osteophytes are generally seen in age related or excessive usage (hard working conditions) generally treated by minimising the mobility in particular area. 3.Why you have been asked to see neurologist id because the disc is causing pressure in the nerve and chord and CSF space effacement, its little more toward nerves than the bone. 4.In your case i think the treatment is operative / intervention procedure.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
