I am a 50 year (young..hehe) female who has worn glasses since second grade, have recently been told I have a cataract that really needs to be removed. I am having trouble now when I drive etc. My question is: What can I do to NOT have surgery this early in my life? I am uninsured and we are a one income family, so if I can take vitamins and change my diet and maybe a new pair of glasses for several years to possibly reverse the cataract somewhat....I would like to try. Please advise me and thank you in advance.
if it is cataract and need to be removed, you have to do that. there is no alternative. the surgery is very simple. you can go for phako . it's simple and an opd procedure.
