How Can Back Pain Due To Acid Reflux Be Treated?

I am 26 years old, I have acid reflux and get a series of gas attacks. Currently I am experiencing pain in my upper left back, just under my shoulder blade. it is piercing and kinda feels like a bubble. It does not seem related to my breathing. It sometimes makes me feel nauseous but it passes as quickly as it comes. I am just over a hundred pounds and 5' 8".

Hi, thanks for posting your concern in the HCM.
I think bloating, back pain, nausea and acid reflux need further evaluation to diagnose the underlying cause. This may be due to Peptic ulcer disease, non ulcer dyspepsia, GERD, liver disease or GB pathology. If you have associated lower gi symptoms, e.g. irregular bowel habit, pain in lower abdomen etc. that may be due to Functional bowel disease or IBS, giardia infection etc.
My recommendations are-
1. Cap Rabeprazole+ Levosulpiride once daily For 7 days.
2. Plenty of oral fluid.
3. Avoid empty stomach for more than 4 hrs in daytime.
4. Frequent small meals rich in dietary fiber.
Avoid carbonated beverages, smoking, alcohol and spices.
5. Investigations-
Complete blood count, urea, creatinine, electrolytes, LFT, amylase, lipase, fasting TSH
Stool for routine examination
USG of upper abdomen

You should consult your local gastroenterologist for further evaluation.
