How Can Back Pain Be Treated?

Hello, Experiencing severe back pain that seems to move around over past few days. From small of back (and down to kidney region) sometimes and up between shoulders at other times. Doctor has told me muscle spasms for which I am now taking muscle relaxers for (plus will do some physio in the coming days). The pills aleviate all pain except down at tailbone (the pain is quite bad). Pain focused on tailbone and left buttocks. I m also experiencing issues having bowel movements for several days now so I assume constipated (something I have had absolute minimal past experiences with). Background: prior to diagnosis of muscle spasms doctor has completed blood test, standard ultrasound of abdomin, KUB X-ray of abdomin and 3 urine tests. All came back good. Concern is, being I am only 34 (male) and in generally good shape (6 0 @ 180lbs) something serious is wrong as I have not experienced any injury to coincide with the pain. Any feedback appreciated.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
to relieve pain, take intermittent rest(in occasion of extreme pain), take paracetamol 1 gm twice or thrice daily, give hot compression, and have some postural modifications. If pain relieves then start physiotherapy(Mckenzie exercises). Conveniently, consult an Orthopaedic surgeon and have X ray LS spine and MRi ls spine (if required) done.
