How Can Atrial Fibrillation Be Treated?
I have a fib for 3 yrs, many cardioversions with short term success. My cardiologist has started me on amiodorone 400mg bid for 1 wk and plan electrical cardioversion next wk. he says I have chf with EF of30%. I am sob,120/80-108hr. Diaphoretic. Unable to take lisinopril10mg or losar tan 25 mg due side effects(chest pain,sob,diaphoresis,hypotension. I am 63 yrs old and retired critical care nurse. What do you think?

Major issue for you along with atrialfib is low ef which is only 30%.atrialfib with very low ef must be started on lanoxin（digoxin）0.25 mg 5 days in a week which also takes control of hr and prevents future complications in addition to amiodarone and DC.no need of enalapril or othr drugs as your bp recording is normal
