How Can Anal Itching Be Treated?

Hi, Some days ago I visited a doctor for regular cold problem. After check up he gave medication related to worm infestation such as albendazole. I didn t tell him that I also had an itchy anal problem. Now after the medication is done I still have itching and it is increasing day by day. Prescribe me something.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have gone through the details given. doctor has already given you Albendazole, which is very effective against certain worm infestation called Enterobious vermicularis (pin worm). These worms tend to crawl up to anus and lay the eggs, causing a great deal of itching. Therfore, most often anul itching has to be treated with deworming drugs. Sice you have taken albendazole now, you may repeat it after 10 days. That will help in eliminating the worms and control anal itching. Plus get all the bed linen washed in hot water. Maintain good hygienic practices. Thanks.
