How Can An Insect Bite Be Treated?

Yes My husband got bit by some type of insect yesterday. When it bit him it felt like his skin was on fire. Now the area has a red rash which itches & skin appears sticky or weepy. No sign of oozing. What type of insect could this be. What should he put on it

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Well it is hard to tell the exact species of the insect but appears to be poisonous one causing severe localised allergic reaction..

As he does not have any generalised symptom then it is probably nothing serious..

For now he can take antihistamine like benadryl to reduce the itching..
Do cool compresses over the red itchy rash..
Apply steroid ointment to reduce inflammation and itching..
Apply Caladryl lotion to soothe the skin..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
