How Can Allergic Cough Be Treated?

One day I am take a child soda with alcohol then after I am allergic ; Doctor prescribed montek and antibiotics with cough syrup for 10 days. But after 10 days can t avoid montek tab ones a day,when stopped tab at come back allergic asthma. Dr.Please how can avoid regular taking tab.

Hi welcome to the health care magic

For confirmation and to judge severity of asthma I will advise to investigate with spirometry..

Let me know you your AEC count as well

Montelukast prescribed only for 10 or maximum 14 days course

If bronchoconstriction more and antiallergic medication doesn't help then bronchodilator nebulization with levosalbutamol and budesonide can be prescribed two times a day for three days(only if dyspnea present)

Meter dose inhaler can be started for repeated asthma attacks...

Montelukast is not only treatment plan for asthma

Hope your concern solved
Allergic testing can be done to found allergen causing allergy..
Avoid exposure to common allergen like dust, pollen , environmental pollutants , molds etc..
Consult pulmonologoist for examination and discuss these to him/her
