How Can Acidic Saliva With A Raw Burning Mouth Be Treated?

I have a low immune system and have a lot of canker sores but lately my whole mouth is sore and feels like it is raw and burning. My saliva is thick and feels like it is acid-like. My gums were sore and puffy but they are better today. What could be causing the acid-like saliva and the raw, burning mouth? How can I get relief?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.

As per your complain it seems like you are suffering from a reduced saliva secretion leading to dry mouth and the burning sensation in tongue and raw feeling can be due to Apthous stomatitis secondary to reduced saliva secretion.
Other cause of it can be deficiency of iron and vitamin B12.
I would suggest you to consult an Oral physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations as per the suspected cause can help diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
As of now gargle with numbing mouthwash, take Ibuprofen to reduce inflammation, suck ice pops and do cold water rinses..
Avoid hot and spicy food and maintain a good oral hygiene..
Chew sugar free chewing gum to stimulate saliva flow..
Drink plenty of cool water..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
