How Can Acid Taste In My Mouth Or Throat Be Treated?

i have an acid taste in my mouth/throat. it feels like it is coming from my stomach because my stomach is upset as well. It feels like my stomach is wanting to become nauseous but has not quite gotten that far yet. Some days eating will lessen these symptoms. some days ant-acids do the trick. Today nothing seems to work. Any ideas what it could be?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms it is pointing towards a condition known as Gastor-esophageal reflux disease which is commonly known as Acid Reflux, in which there is reflux of acid from stomach to throat and mouth and acid is the cause of acidic taste.
As eating less and antacids relieves it further confirms the diagnosis that acid reflux is the cause..

Nothing to worry, you can consult a Gastrenterologist and get evaluated and he can advise you to take Proton Pump Inhibitors like Pantoprazole, omeprazole, antacids like Milk of Magnesia.
Drink plenty of water as it helps in dilution of acid.
Take small and light meals and avoid heavy and large meals.
Avoid spicy and acidic food.
Take your dinner atleast 2 hours before sleeping and take a short walk after meals.
Keep your head slightly raised as compared to legs while sleeping..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
