How Can Abdominal Pain And Thigh Pain Be Treated?

Hello. I am a 47 year old female of normal height and weight with no healh problems. I have been having pain in my lower left abdomen with occassional pain in the top of my left thigh for about a week. My abdomen feels better when I bend over or push on it. I have been having normal bowel movements and have no other problems or symptoms. Any ideas? Thank you!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.

This could be due to a hernia in that region or a ureteric stone or pelvic inflammatory disease.

I would suggest that you get an ultrasound scan of your abdomen to screen your kidney, ureters and ovaries, tubes and uterus. And show to a physician for a clinical examination to help reach a diagnosis and further management.

Regards,
Dr. Ashish Verma
