I started antibiotics for tonsillitis and a uti 4 days ago. I have also been congested and taking NyQuil which contains an antihistamine. I looked at the inside of my nose a couple days ago( my dr did not) and one side is yellow like a scab is trying to form. The other side just started to hurt so I looked inside and there is a bloody sore developing on that side too. Could this be a result of the antibiotics and or candida? I m worried it could be a staph infection? If so will the antibiotics help it go away?
The skin part of nose with hairs just like any other skin part of our body, exfoliates and repairs by uts own.Sometimes violent sneezing, frequent nose rubbing,,hot climate causes trauma to skin part and can form scabs.Furuncle is staph infection of hairs characterized by soreness in nose.As you are already on antibiotics,no need of any other intervention.
