I have a reoccurring boil for over a year in between my butt cheeks. My doctor is aware and keep giving me bactrim. See did culture the drainage once and said it did not grow out anything. It is very uncomfortable. What can I do. It really never goes away, maybe a couple of days that s all. I am a clean person. I do not take baths only showers because I am so afraid of gems. PLEASEEE HELPPP ME
You seem to have relapsing impetigo contagiosa. It is a bacterial infection caused by staphylococci. Hygenically you may be good, but immunity may be poor. Or some internal disease may be there. You consult dermatologist. Have blood tests to rule out to rule out HIV,DM,anaemia, vitamin deficiencies and other diseases. Antibiotics like cefixime, anti inflammatory drugs, vitamin C, zinc... Etc may be considered. Apply antibiotic cream like sisomycine. Avoid soap bath. You may use dettol liq. for bath. Immunity may be improved with immunoboosters. Relapses may be prevented by regular treatment, healthy diet and good hygiene. I hope you got my answer.
Thanks.
