How Can A Red Abscess On The Skin Be Treated?

Hello, I have what looks like a boil under my skin that is really swollen red some parts soft and middle hard. I put a warm compress on it which made it get bigger and now has a black dot in the middle of the boil. Since I applied the warm compress it started to burn.

Hi.
As per your case history of abscess, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and swelling.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
