How Can A Pilonidal Cyst Be Treated?

My daughter is 16 and just diagnosed with a pilonidal cyst . She started on clindamycin and Tylenol and naprosyn for pain without any relief. The doctor did a quick lance of the area too without any relief. She stated only old blood came out and procedure was excruciating for her. I am not sure if incision was not big enough to give her any relief . Any suggestions we are needing help

Hi, I have gone through your query.I think a Incision & Drainage of the cyst is sufficient.If it recurs then you might have to get the cyst surgically removed.To prevent pilondial cysts keep the area clean,avoid prolonged sitting and lose weight if needed.
