How Can A Lump At The Site Of Parathyroid Gland Removal Be Treated?

Hi, I have several autimune diseases, steroid induced Cushing s syndrome and recently had 3 of my 4 parathyroid glands removed. That was in Aug. I was told that I also have thyroiditis due autoimmune disease, but that it can t be medicated. I had recently had an ivig infusion (get them monthly) which resulted in thrombophlebitis. I have been on antibiotics and aspirin for almost two weeks now. Recently got a cold amd now all of my vitals are going crazy (I have autonomic neuropathy due to Sjogren s Syndrome) and I feel so sick and tired. Then I noticed today a tiny lump and a bruise right above the incision scar from the parathyroid surgery. It hurts to swallow. I did not injure it in any way. The bruise is only about the size of a dime. I just have no idea if this Sjogren s, Cushings (I have been doing well with that and am now down to 7 mg of prednisone) thyroid?? Can a thyroid bruise you? Thanks I know this all sounds so convoluted!!

Hello. Some times after the thyroidectomy above the incision line due to bleeding and scar tissue formation you get bruise and some times a lum also. It would go away on its own in 6 wks to4mnths time. But if you are having. Fever body aches and pains and tenderness over the lump make sure the incision scar is not infected and forming an abscess. Hope this helps.
