How Can A Bruise On The Breast Be Treated?

I fell and banged my breast on the corner of a table. It took a couple of days for a huge bruise to come out. This was three weeks ago. The bruise is pretty much gone but I just found a large lump in the bruised area. You can feel it by just touching the skin. It is almost pointed and very hard and pretty big. I am sixty years old and due for a mammogram. It has been two years since my last one.

hi
thanks for writing to hcm
The said bruise is also accompanied by some blood accumulation following the trauma. Hence although the superficial injury is cured, the lump is visible. Please be assured that it cannot be related to any suspicion for a mammography.Such things can be easily avoided just by a ice cold compression just after the trauma.
More over please go ahead with your routine mammography, however a sonography will be better for the ,lump st the beginning.
hope this helps
