How Can PCOD Be Treated?

Hello doctor I am suffering from pcod from the previous 2 years my doctor told me to take medicines for 6 months . I did as she said for 6 months . But after I discontinued medicines I started skipping my periods again. My doctor told me that obesity is the cause of pcod Please tell me what should I do

I understand your concern
PCOD is very complex disease and cause hormonal imbalance.
Course of the disease is very unpredictable and treatment response is variable.
You must consult the experienced gynecologist for better treatment.
Following are the aims of treatment:
Regularize the cycle, Decrease insulin resistance
Induction of ovulation, Treatment of hormone imbalance
Reduce the weight by 10-12 %
Drugs:
Metformin: for maintain glucose homeostasis and weight, induce ovulation
Oral contraceptive pills: regular the menstrual cycle
Spironolactone and fulatamide: diuretic action and also induce ovulation
Clomiphene citrate to induce ovulation and maintain fertility
If not responds to medical treatment surgery like ovarian dreeling can be used

Diet: take small frequent meal rather large meal
Avoid fatty/spicy/salty foods
Avoid excessive sweets
Start regular exercise for 45-60 minutes in the morning
