Your problem seems to have arisen due to your diet pattern. Eating phulkas as the sole meal definitely reduces your fibre intake leading to constipation. Ayurvedic medicines and alcohol too may cause constipation sometimes. My advice to you will be to take plenty of salad mostly of cabbage, cucumber, carrots etc and also drink plenty of water along with it. Fresh fruits , mainly banana also help a lot. Finally change your diet pattern to include a lot of vegetables. Prescription medications should be avoided for now since you have recognized causes.

Hope you get well soon

General & Family Physician Dr. Roshni Agarwal's  Response

welcome to healthcare magic

change in food habit, habitat and increase in alcohol intake are all causes of constipation.

decrease of fibers in diet, less physical activity and a sedentary lifestyle also are causes of constipation.

so increase in fibrous diet, like fruits salads and vegetables can decrease your constipation... plus some exercises, walking and yoga will definitely help.

presently you can some laxatives for some time to relieve yourself of the pain and discomfort.
hope this may help you..
take care
