General & Family Physician Dr. Namitha's  Response
Hi Neena,
Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum. You have already taken your first step to your weight loss goal,by beginning to exercise. Please ensure to do brisk walking where in you are not comfortable to have a chat with your walking partner. You need to now focus on your diet and do some lifelong modifications. Please avoid fried, sugary, junk, pastries and carbonated drinks.Eliminate sugar from the diet and switch to natural sweeteners like honey or sugar free.Consume fruits and vegetables and don't keep yourself hungry or starve. This will not cause weight loss. Weight reducing tablets are short term measures and you will bounce back to your old weight soon. Regular exercise and a healthy diet can keep your weight off for ever. Goodluck.
