How can I prevent myself from getting diabetes?

My doctor told me to stop eating so many sweets. And I try, but it doesnt work, and i end up eating like 3 or 4 pieces of chocolate every day. I need to stop, because my blood sugar is already very high. Any tips on how to resist sugar? I also forgot to add that my grandfather had diabetes , which increases my chances a significant amount.

Since genetically you are prone to DM, and as you said already your blood suger is
high, better to avoid sugar containig preperation. BUt now a days lot of sweets awalble
and claiming to be suger free preperation, you shhould try it if yopu can not give up
the temptation for sugar.Adviseble for you to check your sugar frequently, so as when
readings are high will make you alert for cutting sugar. Thanks

Simple cut down the chocolate consumption to half that is 2 pieces and then increase the work out sessions by twice the time that you are doing now, simple as it is. Did you understand the logic. It is about consuming the same amount of calories.
