welcome to HCM!
Hyaluronic acid can be found naturally in leafy greens, root vegetables, soy products, homemade bone broth, sweet potatoes.
I do not see hyaluronic acid mentioned in my resources as being in Nopales, but it is used for its skin benefits.
Regarding using Nopales in
diabetes, one should be careful using Nopale for diabetic control unless monitored by a clinician as it does have many side effects, drug interactions, can cause
low blood sugar and even
liver failure if use in excess. Diabetes, unchecked, is a major cause of
heart disease.
Hyaluronic acid is found in many facial creams as it is good for smoothing the skin and keeping the wrinkles away. Just read the labels of face creams sold primarily for "brightening" or moisturizing and look at the label. The closer to the top hyaluronic falls in label ingredients, the more of the product is in the cream by weight making it a stronger product.
I hope this answers your question. Regards, Kathy Shattler, MS, RDN
