How Can I Help Lower My Fever, Nasal Blockage?

I have been sick over a week, severe nasal congestion and ears blocked too, severe throat pain with enlarged painful lymph nodes, fever, green and yellow mucus from nose and produced by cough, bloody mucus from throat. Worsening each day, back of neck hurts too. Low platelet count, high neutrophil count, blood glucose 120 when I had not eaten, low potassium. Worse at night and in morning, no medicine helps. I am 21, female, 107 lbs, with chronic liver disease.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of fever, nasal blockage, blocked ears and enlarged lymph nodes which seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection or eustachian tube dysfunction. Need not to worry. You should avoid intake of oily, spicy and sharp food. Avoid intake of cold carbonated beverages. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get complete examination done. You should get blood and sputum tests done. You should get these lab investigations and x-ray done to find out exact cause of your condition and start treatment accordingly. You should take combination of antibiotic such as Levofloxacin along with antiinflammatory medications. You should take multivitamins and diet rich in fluids.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
