Hello,
thanks for using health care magic

the risk of transmission of HIV is highest when someone has unprotected sexual intercourse as sexual intercourse is the most common worldwide mode of transmission.

However, it is not all unprotected intercourse that will lead to transmission as transmission depends on various factors such as the viral load of the infected person, presents of std in the uninfected person, presents of wounds etc.

So, it is possible that all that period, you could be negative but that is a small possibility and continuous testing up to one year ( using antibody detecting rapid test) after your last exposure is needed to confirm that you are negative.

Another possibility is that, the results of your hubby could have been false results and may be he should re-test again. If he is already on treatment then that explains why you are negative.

Best regards
Dr Achuo
