How Can COPD Be Treated?

my mom is 80 and has COPD she is slowly worsening.. she is on hospice and they are looking for an alternative to Morphine as Morphine has stopped her hear in the past is Dilaudid a possible substitute ? or would it have a similar effect as the morphine

I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.
COPD is a chronic disease and it require prolonged treatment,probably for life long.
Diluadid is the brand name of hydromorphone. It can be substituted for morphine. Apart from this she needs frequent nebulization and steroid therapy.
Consult a pulmonolgist for better suggestions.
