How Acne And Scars Be Treated?

hi doctor ,am teena ,23 year old,student, i had a terrible acne breakout on my skin last november, and a went to the dermatologist and took treatment,but still am left out with mild acne and severe scarring. as am of the age of getting married am really worried about this issue. two years ago i had the same problem but i got it cured through medicines . but now nothing is working out.i stay at coimbatore.please help me

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have acne breakout and scars on face which is because skin has increased sensitivity of getting pigmented and it leads to post inflammation hyper-pigmentation. It could be due to clogged pores of sebaceous gland filled with sebum ,dead skin and bacteria get infected. I would suggest you to wash your face daily with cold water and face wash containing salycylic acid twice a day and apply cream containing azelac acid which is good for acne as well as marks.You should apply Meladerm cream and it is purely safe to use as this is combination of hydroquinone + Tretinoin + steroid and apply it at night time. Drink plenty of water. If condition doesn't get well in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment. You cam go for chemical peeling and laser therapy.
