Hole In The Finger Following An Explosive Injury. Oozing Smelly, Greenish Pus. Normal For An Unprotected Wound?

Hello! On 11th april i suffered explosive injury on my hands-fingertips to be precise. It was an aluminum fuze which went off in my hands and blew off parts of my left index finger and thumb, injuring 3 more on the right hand. I have received tetanus protection along with heavy antibiotic treatment after the injury, and wounds healed nice-as possible. A month ago, from my right index finger,on a part which healed well, but was kinda swollen the whole time since that faithful day (in the middle of fingerprint),a hole appeared, and white pus came out-all of a sudden. A couple of weeks after that-i pulled out a piece of aluminum out of the newly appeared wound. What troubles me now,is that the wound is still kinda opened, fingertip hyposensitive, with formed callosity-but with smelly greenish puss coming out every couple of days. And-a new hole appeared 5mm from the first one, also with oozing puss. Is that normal for an unprotected wound or there could be other processes developing(such as gangrene, deep tissues infection,or a part of foreign object still logged in under my fingertip)?

Hello , this is not normal and suggests ongoing infection. You need a repeat course of antibiotics and also culture test to determine organism causing infection.

Also a X ray should be taken to see if there is any foreign body embedded inside.
