History Of Taking In 4 Paracetamols, 4-11 Solpadol In Drunken State. Scratching. Concerning?

I've just been to my friends house and she's been drinking all day, fell out with her boyfriend and has decided take a load of tablets. She's taken at least 4 paracetamol and anywhere from 4-11 Solpadol. I've put her to bed. She was scratching a lot which I know is a side effect of taking to many paracetamol. Will she be alright? I've had to come home but I'm worried.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

It would be best if your friend goes to see a doctor.
The solpadol contains a combination of paracetamol and codiene. If she has taken these along with other paracetamol and alcohol (especially if there is a history of excess use of alcohol), there is a risk of liver damage.

She needs to be assessed and this would include a liver function test.

In addition she needs to be seen by a psychologist or psychiatrist for assessment of any future risk of self harm and mood disorder such a depression.

I hope this helps
