HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Epilepsy is a brain disorder where a persons is predisposed or more likely to have seizures.
Some persons can have seizures without having epilepsy for example alcoholics who are in withdrawal from the alcohol, persons with low blood sugar, head trauma, electrolyte abnormalities. In these cases if the problem can be corrected the seizures would stop.

In epilepsy there are recurrent and unprovoked seizures this means there is nothing that you can specifically stop to prevent the seizures from ever happening again.

If your fiance is well controlled on her medication that is good, she needs to continue taking them. If she notices any increases in how often she has seizures her doctor will adjust her medication appropriately.

If a person with epilepsy does not have a seizure for 2 to 5 years the doctor may consider stopping the medication because some persons can outgrow epileptic disorders of childhood.

I hope this helps
