History Of Lymph Node TB. High ESR. Planning For Pregnancy, Anything To Worry?
Hi Doctor,In 2008 i had lymph node TB. And it is cured after 8months of course.I still have one small lump in my neck my Dr said dont worry abt that.
After 6 months i tested my ESR it is like 50 ..again last week i test it is 44...should i worry, i am planning for pregnancy....WHY IS MY ESR STILL HIGH? WILL I GET TB AGAIN?

sOMETIME A LYMPH NODE MAY PERSIST EVEN AFTER TAKING FULL TB TREATMENT. IF ITS AN ISOLATED NODE AND YOU HAVE NO SYMPTOMS YOU NEED NOT WORRY AND GO AHEAD WITH YOUR PLANNED PREGNANCY. ESR IS A VERY NON SPECIFIC TEST AND IS ONLY INDICATIVE OF INFLAMMATION IN THE BODY. THOUGH TB IS A CAUSE OF RAISED ESR BUT THERE ARE MANY OTHER CAUSES AS WELL. IF YOU ARE OTHERWISE HEALTHY PL DO NOT BE OVERTLY CONCERNED ABOUT IT. IT WILL SETTLE DOWN IN DUE COURSE OF TIME.
