History Of Hypothyroidism, Mild Blood Pressure And Bacterial Infection. Taking Antibiotics. Mild Cardiomegaly. Guide?
Hello, 66 year old female with history of hypothyroidism , mild blood pressure( under control thru medicines) recently had a viral attack which led to possible secondary bacterial infection.
Currently being given 5 days of antibiotics for congested chest and recovering well
Chest X-Ray PA suggests following observation;
Thoracic bony cage and soft tissues of the chest are normal. Mild cardiomegaly. No mediastinal pathology is seen. Both hila are normal in size and density. Both CP angles and both domes of diaphragm are normal Prominent broncho vascular markings noted. Rest of the parenchyma and vasculature of both lungs are normal.
Mild cardiomegaly may be an artefact or the result of long standing blood pressure. Nothing to worry. If anything, ECHOcardiogram will clarify the issue of cardiomegaly.. The chest X-ray shows nothing of significance otherwise / it is normal...
Take care Wishing speedy recovery God bless Good luck
