History Of Ectopic Pregnancies And Failed ICSI. On Folic Acid And Ovigyn Tablets. Explain

i am 34yrs with a history of two ectopic and two failed icsi. My doctor told to do an icsi on november. Befor that to take ovigyn d tablets thrice a day for two months and follic acid. Why she suggested me ovigyn d tablets will it help me. In my previous icsi i got 8 eggs all got fertilised and 4 for et.but leftover 4 was slow,so not frozen.will explain me why to take ovigyn d tablets

Hello and welcome to HCM,
For any assisted fertilization technique to be successful, adequate ova/ eggs should be available to allow the appropriate technique (icsi in your case).
Ovigyn d is a HCG containing preparation.
It is used to induce ovulation for a an ample supply of eggs/ ova.
Folic acid is needed in pregnancy to prevent neural tube defects in fetus.
Ovigyn does not affect the subsequant growth and development of the zygote.
It only helps in induction of ovulation.
