Hip Injury, Numbness, Soreness, Heaviness. Advise?

A few months ago I hit my shin on a metal ladder, It took a nickel size chunk out of my leg. It was pretty deep. it has mostly healed now but I keep having some numbness and soreness if the area is touched. It also feels like I'm carrying an extra few pounds on the bottom of my leg. Any idea what i should do or what it could be ?

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns, and am sorry to hear about he injury to your hip from hitting your shin with a metal ladder. I hope you are on the way to recovery with the lacerated injury. The pain and numbness may be a process of healing and you might get the sensations back after some time. You need to wait and watch while keeping the area clean and infection free. Losing weight may also be a good idea. I hope this helps.

Take care and have a lovely day!
