High Uric Acid Levels, Pain In Toes, Legs. Taking Febuxostat Antioxidant. Treatment?

Dr. i am XXXXXX 29 years old male having high uric acid level i.e. 8.5 mg/dl. now i am taking medicine - FEBUXOSTAT 40 mg (OD), Antioxidant (OD) from last 7 days. but till today, I am having pain in my toes and legs. So, please suggest me what can I do and what should I take. Thanks.

Thanks for the query.
While febuxostat is helpful in reducing the uric acid levels in the blood it is not useful in an ongoing painful episode of gout.
You will need a course of analgesics or colchicine both of which have to be taken under the supervision of a physician.
