This is good that you have started to take care of your diet and regular exercise,You can see result yourself,please do not do severe restrictions in diet,you can take help of dietitian,who will guide you about diet.
In general brown rice is good and whole grain is better as it contain more fibers.
Please take fresh fruits and green vegetables and dairy products like butter milk and curd are good in limited quantity.
I am sure you have so much detemination you must nit be smoking
It is also important to test blood in fasting condition,please repeat test after 2 months.
Usually 3 months are required to see effects of life style changes.please note if TG is high and you are not having diabetes
then there are drugs which can help to reduce TG specifically.
If you are non vegetarian please avoid red meat and take egg white,lean meat and fish.
It is good to take Omega 3 fatty acid in fish or supplements.
