General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
NOVASTAT ( rosuvastatin ) is anti cholesterol medicine belonging to STATIN group of drugs which are most widely used drugs to lower cholesterol levels in blood.
Although STATINS do have some side effects but,in general, these medicines are tolerated very well and very rarely,it causes problem.
These problems may include headache, constipation, nausea, myalgia etc.
There is no anti cholesterol medicine which doesn't have some or other side effects.
In case, you have any specific problem with medicine, you should talk to your doctor as he reserves the right to change the prescription.
Along with medicines,do regular aerobic exercises for 45 minutes a day and avoid fatty and deep fried foods, take less of sugary foods an avoid junk foods.
Thanks
