Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 89 years old, male., and I take 1 Norvasc daily for high blood pressure . A doctor recently told me that best practice is to measure my blood pressure at home, and only take the pill if my blood pressure is high. However the doctor who prescribed Norvasc said I should take the pill daily, and never recommended checking blood pressure at home. Who is right?
Hello
it is always better to get your BP checked by the doctor as self checking of BP is mostly erroneous.
The medications for blood pressure should be taken daily and regularly.
Thanks
