Rheumatologist 's  Response
Hi !
Thank you for your query.

Dear Madam,

Increased ESR means that some chronic inflammation is going on in the body . You have not clearly mentioned in your history that which joints are involved first , do you feel early morning stiffness in fingers that improves with activity . From what you say you never had a swelling of any joint , but still you need to consult a rheumatologist to pick up the disease at its onset if there .This could be palindromic onset RA but you need to get blood tests like CRP , RF , ANTI CCP Antibodies done to rule out any kind of disease.

If you have any further queries feel free to ask.
Wish you good health.
Take care.
