Hernia Repair Surgery Done, Pain, Swollen Stomach, Warm To Touch. Treatment?
Hi I had a large hernia repair with mesh in November 2011... I m still suffering with alot of pain ... Now before I had the hernia repair done I had 4 surgery s in 34 days... The Dr has done ultrasounds and nothing appears.. why do I hurt so bad and how do I fix it... My stomach is VERY warm to the touch and still very swollen....
Large hernia does cause pain, however the pain gradually subsides with correction unless the scar becomes painful or if you are not tolerating the mesh that is sutured to the abdominal wall.
If the pain you feel is close to the operated site, then we need to rule out the above possibilities.
If the abdominal pain is not anywhere close to the operated site, then perhaps you need further investigations such as an ultrasonography. Further test like an endoscopy/coloposcopy are entailed depending on clinical findings. Your treating doctor can guide you through the procedures. So do not hesitate to contact him/her.
Hope this answers your query.
Warm Regards
