Hematoma In Leg After Injury. How To Reduce Swelling And Tightness In Ankle?

I fell down the stairs on I ve about 3 weeks ago. I have a baseball size hematoma on my lower left leg. It s been x-Ray d and nothing is broken but it s become worse - swelling so much that my leg becomes very tight, my ankle & foot swells up immensely.ive kept I elevated and have been icing it. It s painful to touch and last night became very hot as if the whole area had a fever. What should I do?

Hi,
From history it seems that you had hematoma on the part and now there might be having infection giving rise to this problem.
Consult your doctor and get examined.
He may go for a course of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicine course.
He may go for aspiration of blood form hematioma.
Ok and take care.
