Heavy Prolonged Periods. Taking Trenaxa To Stop Bleeding. History Of Uterine Fibroids. Cure?

Hello Doctor! I am a woman aged 46 . I have uterine fibroids but so far I didn t have any problems,. But , this month, my periods are heavy. I am having bleeding even on my 14th day. The gynaec has given me Trenaxa 500 to stop the bleeding. Though, the bleeding has reduced, it hasn t stopped completely. Moreover, I get painful cramps after taking the medicine which last for sometime. Is it normal? I am scared. Thank you

the size of fibroid ,location ,endometrial thickness will decide your tretment.
if you are bleeding profusely with drug you need d&c to check your endometrium.
even it is normal ,then if thr bleeding is not controlled with progestrone you may need hystrectomy.
