Heavy Periods, Painful. Ultrasound Shows Boggy Uterus. Treatment?

I am 43 years old. I have had 6 menstrual cycles in 3 months, heavy and painful. An ultra sound showed a 6 cm cyst on the left ovary and a physical exam today determined a "boggy uterus". More blood work has been done but I do not have those results yet. What should I expect from this point? Possible diagnosis and treatments?

Hi,

It is possible that bleeding might be due to hyperplasia of endometrium. I would suggest you get back with blood test reports.

Regards,
