Heavy Period. Distressing, Feeling Weak, Tired And Dizzy. Perimenopausal?

I am 48 yrs old and have been having a very heavy period for 3 weeks now. This has never happened before, always 4-5 days of medium flow about 31 days apart. Also, heavier period just 3 weeks ago. I understand this can be common for perimenopausal women, but this is very distressing and I am feeling weak, tired and dizzy at times.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The heavy period that you are having for last three weeks is due to perimenopausal hormonal imbalance. This needs to be treated with proper hormonal therapy to prevent the blood loss.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. You can consult me again directly through my profile URL http://bit.ly/Dr-Rakhi-Tayal
