I have seen many doctors and still no change .I have tried birth control pills and can no longer take them . I had been on them since I was 10 ,and they stop working about 3 years ago.I have also tried 2 dnc's .I really want to have children someday . Im truly tried and I am starting to give up hope. Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Usually having this much of menorrhagia is somewhat abnormal.
You better check for coagulation profile once.
If there is any abnormality in the coagulation factors, that can present with menorrhagia.
You can try for intrauterine device containing progesterone like your doctor's advice.
This can possibly help in decreasing the blood flow by leading to atrophy of endometrium.
After removal of the intrauterine device, in few months you can regain normal periods and ovulation.
After that you can try for pregnancy.
So, consult gynecologist once. Undergo coagulation profile.
If everything is normal, discuss about using IUCD and follow her advice.
Take care.
