Heavy Bleeding After Miscarriage. Severe Upper And Lower Back Pain, Pain In Ribs And Pelvic Area. Need Help

I experienced a miscarriage at 9 weeks and six days on Sunday, June 3, 2012. I am still bleeding heavily with large clots. I also am experiencing extreme upper and lower back pain , rib pain, and pelvic pain as well. The pain is so difficult to deal with. My Ob-Gyn is not helping as she should, as she never has been that great of a help. What should I do?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
after a miscarriage, bleeding usually continues for 7-10 days. Heavy bleeding with clots, or prolonged bleeding, is not normal. Do a ultrasound immediately to rule out retained products. In which case, you need a D/C.
