Headaches, Electric Shock Sensations, Loss Of Vision. Complete Hysterectomy Done. Treatment?
I am a 40 year old women post complete hesterectomy, with headaches that occur almost everyday, that are a throbbing type with a pressure feeling. Some start with a electric shock feeling that runs up the back of head. I have a small place behind by ear that hurts to the touch. I have a loud pop sometimes when I move my head that causes me to loose vision for a second and grinding (sand) noise when I move my neck all the time. All my blood work came back good, started on a beta blocker but didn t help my headaches.
Headache along with loss of vision sugest vascular pathology If these are persistung complain than investigation is must U must go for CT SCAN BRAIN and accroding to proceed further If it comes normal than no need to worry Than u can start medicines like amitriptiline 25 mg if it occurs daily If it occur episodic than u can go for flunarizine 10 mg But before than u have to rule out blood pressure and eye sight problems Go for fundus examination to rule out any eye sight problem like papilooedema If blood pressure is high than try to control it by lifestyl modification and antihypertensive medications Get well soon Thank u
