Head Injury, Small Sore Bump, No Headache, Head Pressure, Blurred Vision. Treatment?

Hello, 2 days ago I hit the top of my head very hard off the bottom corner of a wooden cupboard door. Immediately there was a smallish bump that was very sore, it is still. I don t have a headache but my head does feel tighter or has more pressure. And my eyes also seem to be off or maybe s little blurry. Also, my pupils are dilated even 2 days after.

Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.

The duration of symptoms presenting grossly varies following trauma to the head. Symptoms can be immediate in a few cases and in other cases it can occur as long as a week later.

The sore bump was an immediate scalp hematoma that developed following the injury. This is not a concerning problem which would resolve in a week's time. However light headedness and blurry vision suggests possible concussion. These symptoms can last for a while and it needs to be carefully monitored.

Usually a CT brain is needed in such cases to confirm concussion. I would advise you to consult your doctor immediately if symptoms worsen.

Hope this helps.

Regards
