Hello,
you probably have injured your neck. Stretching forces or compressive forces can tear the ligaments and muscle attachments in the neck. once an area is painful, surrounding muscles go in spasm and restrict neck movements. You can visit a doctor and get evaluated. Injuries of bone and dislocations can also cause similar symptoms.
Good luck.
