Head Injury, Bruise Behind Ears, Loss Of Hearing, Excessive Sleepiness. Treatment For Symptoms?

i had head to head contact playing tackle football with no pads or helmet on and behind my ear is all bruised i cant lay down on it and sometimes my hearing goes away in it and it gets very painful randomly without even touching it. Also my head hurt so much like i had a concussion this was four days ago and i go to bed at 9 to 9:30 and i fall asleep during every class in school the next day. but i get enough sleep required. Whats Wrong?

Dear Concerned.,
Thanks for writing to us,
In any case of head injury that too in this case ,you should have been admitted for "Neuro-Observation" in Head Injury Ward of a Neuro Centre.Yours is a progressive case of deterioration of Neurological Functions with a bruise behind ear(Battle's Sign).
Have you been shown to a Neuro Surgeon?have you lost Conciousness after the accident(LOC)?Do You remember the episode(Retrograde Amnesia)?Was there any Seizure post concussion?Was there ENT bleeding?
Concussion means a rapid shaking of any object.In c/o head Injury there will be transient disruption of Neurological Functions after concussion after which the brain returns to Normalcy.In the event of any deterioration , a CT scan/MRI of brain as per the availabilty has to be done and assessment has to be done by a Surgical Neurologist .
Kindly go ahead with the above protocol and get treated in a tertiary care neurocentre pls.

this is 5th day since injury,and you don't have seizure,nose and ear watery discharge,no weakness in any part of your body.Basically concussion don't produce pain your pain is due to injury to temporal bone which lead to bleeding and now swalling all this lead to severe pain,this pain will gradually subside by 7 to12 days,till then take some analgesic.For hearing loss kindly consult ENT doctor see status of ear drum and type of hearing loss.
