Having Wowing Sensation In Head And Ear Ache. Doctor Say Allergic. Suggestions

Over the last 4 months my ears have been bothering me as well as I get this wowing sensation in my head. It feels
like my brain is contracting & expanding. My ears usually ache separately off & on & lasts only a few seconds.
Both these sensations (head & ears) seem to be getting worse. My doctor says it is allergies but taking "reactine"
doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions on what this might be??
